The night after Anna Marie Shogren performs at VENT's Soapbox Cabaret she'll be laying it down at the Collaborations in Dance Festival at Triskelions Arts. The piece, titled Sitting at a table our elbows bump each other, is a collaboration with visual artist Margaret Coleman. Our artists are busy! Reinterpreting the inaugural academic conference at Yale in 2004, Be Black Baby has invited artists, intellectuals and performers to take on the legacy and larger than life persona of the Prince of Pop himself.
